Matthew (“Matt”) Maldonado recently joined the team as “Of Counsel.” Matt’s personal and professional representation has achieved success for his clients in divorce, child custody, child support, and Child Protective Services (CPS) matters in Hays, Bexar, and Travis Counties. A father of four, a teacher’s husband, and a former Combat Medic, Matt relies on knowledge fostered from personal experience to advocate for his client’s best interest.

Enlisting in the US Army in 2000 and serving in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, Matt finished up school a little later than his peers and graduated from Texas State University in 2013 and St. Mary’s University School of Law in 2016. Since being licensed in 2018, Matt has quickly gained the reputation of being a diligent and professional lawyer. Recently elected as the Treasurer for the Hays County Bar Association, Matt has focused his tenure on community service by being active with the Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas and law related education programs with local school districts. If you don’t find Matt in the courthouse or in the office, you’ll probably find him at the 5 Mile Dam Soccer Complex with the Surge Soccer Club where he coaches and serves on the Board as the Executive Liaison.
